Question:
I understand that when a depth is included in brackets on a Chain of Custody, ESdat automatically recognizes this as a depth and records it accordingly during approval. Is there a similar method or formatting approach that would allow ESdat to automatically populate the well name into the approval?
Answer:
ESdat can extract various sample details from the Sample Field ID provided on the COC. When the Sample Field ID follows specified formats (for example, LocationWell_Date), ESdat can automatically allocate samples to their corresponding locations and wells.
Alternatively, if you are using the eCOC functionality and the Field App in ESdat the sample details such as Location, Well, Sampled By etc.. are stored within ESdat and matched to the lab sample when it is returned in the lab report.
