Answer:
TOC should be entered as the elevation of the top of casing.
Ground Elevation should be entered in the Location table in the Elevation field.
Depths related to the borehole, such as lithology, screen intervals, sample depths, water levels, are below ground level.
Depths for measurements taken from the top of the casing (TOC), such as groundwater levels, should be entered as depths from TOC.
Relative levels, such as groundwater elevations, are then calculated automatically within ESdat using simple arithmetic using the relevant elevation (TOC or ground elevation) and measured depth.
