Plog Syncing Issues - Project not Found

Question:

We are having some issues with select projects getting the lithology data from plog to sync with the Project in ESdat. We have contact Plog support and they believe everything looks fine on their end, could you please check if there is anything on your side that is preventing this sync from occurring?
At the moment, we’re unable to resync a project as they do not appear in the list of available sites, even though they already exist in ESdat and matches the project name in pLog.

Answer:

Sync issue like this typically happens if you've changed a Project ID after an initial Sync.

Data syncs between pLog and ESdat based on a GUID which is created when the sync first happens. If you change the Project ID after you have done an initial sync, the GUIDs will not match.

Additionally, there are instances where Project IDs in ESdat had a trailing space on the end of them resulting to unmatching value in pLog which is why it didn't sync. After removing the space at the end of the Project IDs in ESdat, you should be able to resync those Projects
