Question:
We are looking at using eSRNs more widely across our projects, though we still have a significant number of projects not using field portal.
Are you able to confirm where the eSRN error messages get sent?
For example, if the lab sends eSRNs based on paper COCs I understand this will at least trigger the errors
1. No COC number; OR
2. COC number does not exist for SDG
Will this spam the sender (the lab) with error notifications? or do they only get sent to the project/ESdat admins?
What is the intention behind this error notification? (is the COC number used to allow ESdat to match the eCOC to the incoming lab batch later?)
Answer:
The Lab does not receive an error
notification when the COC is not found.
However, in ESdat, the SRN header file needs the COC to link
it with the Monitoring Round. As workaround, the ESdat user will need to navigate
to the Lab Uploads page to fix.
For SDGNotFound error, you will have the "Import
SRN" action (to retry after creating/fixing the SDG).
For ProjectAndSDGNotFound error, you will
additionally get a "Create Project and Import SRN" option.
