Lab Report Import error - Duplicate results found

Question:

I received the following error message:

"Duplicate data has been identified. The results should be unique across SampleCode, ChemCode, Total or Filtered, Result Type and Method Name. If a re-test has been done only the reportable results should be included."

Can you please advise?

Answer:

This error is due to duplicate results for two or more analytes. The results should be unique across SampleCode, ChemCode, Total or Filtered, Result Type and Method Name.  In the error report, if you can see these fields are the same in both results - the Result and Result unit are not part of the key fields that make a result unique. 

If the client has asked for both results ("absent" and "<1.0"), you can consider making the Method Name unique to successfully upload.
