Question:

We are wondering about options for export from ESdat in a format that they can easily ingest and use in a GIS environment. I mentioned a number of options (e.g., GeoJSON, OData), but they had initially asked specifically about dbf or SQL. I don't see either of these as options in the bulk data export page. Is it possible to export from ESdat in these formats?

Answer:

The GeoJSON format is the preferred way of sharing spatial data and is a specific open-source GIS format that can easily be read by GIS platforms such as ArcGIS or QGIS.

DBF and SQL are in themselves databases, not really portable formats.

The other option would be to use the Excel Export option in DMM, which will provide a dump of the data for your selected project into Excel across multiple worksheets for each database table, which can then easily be ingested by other GIS software.
